About Us

Our Bakhoor journey began centuries ago, rooted in a treasured Arabic tradition—one shared within families, offered as a gesture of love, and gifted with pride.

This craft has been passed down through generations. Our grandmother learned the art of Bakhoor from her mother, and in turn, this knowledge was carefully carried forward within our family. What began as a deeply personal practice became a ritual of care: Bakhoor was created for the home and shared as thoughtful gifts with close family and friends. Its fragrance left a lasting impression, quickly becoming something people felt they couldn’t live without. Requests for refills followed—not as a commercial pursuit, but as a natural response to its unmistakable presence.

For many years, Bakhoor remained a passion rather than a business. Small batches were made for loved ones, with proceeds often donated to those in need—staying true to the generosity and values at the heart of the tradition.

In 2022, Halawaat Café opened its doors and began using our Bakhoor as part of their daily ritual. From the moment customers stepped inside, they were drawn to the scent—prompting questions such as, “What is that beautiful fragrance?” and “Can we buy this Bakhoor?” It became clear that this Bakhoor belonged in many more homes and spaces.
Following a thoughtful rebrand, Dumari (ضومري) was born—uniting generations of Bakhoor expertise with a renewed vision for the future. With deep respect for heritage and a commitment to craftsmanship, we are proud to invite you to experience Dumari.
